​​​​​​The Frame 6 (MS6001) is 35 to 44 MW gas turbine capable of serving both 50 and 60 Hz markets. The MS6001 is a fuel-flexible, heavy-duty single-shaft gas turbine capable of running on natural gas, LNG, distillate, and treated residual oil. It’s used in applications like mechanical drive, simple and combined cycle power generation, and cogeneration. Key features include a 17-stage compressor, reverse flow combustion system, three-stage impulse turbine with air-cooled nozzles and buckets, and two or three bearing rotor supports. The turbine’s high-efficiency design includes a 10-chamber combustor and air-cooled buckets for improved firing temperatures and efficiency.
